Head of Human Resources

Role Overview

Le Roma Hotels & Resorts is looking for an experienced Head of Human Resources to lead the people function across its hotels, resorts, and corporate office. The role will build a professional, performance-oriented culture while ensuring a consistent and supportive employee experience across properties.

This is a hands-on leadership position covering workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, payroll oversight, training, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the group-wide HR strategy in alignment with business growth.
  • Lead recruitment across hotel operations, sales, food and beverage, housekeeping, guest relations, finance, and corporate functions.
  • Establish consistent onboarding, attendance, leave, payroll, appraisal, promotion, and exit processes.
  • Create clear job descriptions, reporting structures, KRAs, and performance scorecards.
  • Partner with property heads to forecast staffing needs and manage manpower costs.
  • Build training programmes covering service standards, leadership, sales, workplace conduct, and compliance.
  • Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, retention, and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee HR records, employee documentation, payroll inputs, HR systems, and management reports.
  • Strengthen employer branding and build a reliable talent pipeline for future properties.

Candidate Profile

  • 8-12 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in hospitality, hotels, resorts, events, travel, or another customer-focused service industry is preferred, not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment, payroll, performance management, employee relations, and Indian labour compliance.
  • Comfortable working directly with senior management and property-level teams.
  • Strong communication, judgement, confidentiality, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification in Human Resources preferred.
